Fee Structure – 2021

The cost of your medical is made up of the charge for the medical exam itself plus charges for tests/procedures that are required periodically, or only if medically indicated.
If the applicant has a medical condition requiring referral to a specialist or to the CAA/other licensing authority then an additional fee is charged.


Our current pricing for medical examinations is shown below. For new clients for UK Class 2 medicals we also offer a discount of £15 for the first medical examination with Dr Jones.

* For Class 1 applicants the cost for the haemoglobin test is included in the medical exam fee so this charge does not apply.

** Flat fee covers referral letters, correspondence with the licensing authority, review of specialist reports and issuing fit/unfit letters, as required.

All charges from third parties, including from specialists providing reports/opinions, remain the responsibility of the applicant.

Our current pricing for EASA medical examinations is shown below. For pilots holding both UK and EASA licences, we can renew both UK and EASA medicals at one appointment for a reduced price.

NOTE: For Norwegian Class 1 & Class 2 licence holders there is an additional Norwegian CAA administration charge of £30. This is already included in the price for the EASA Initial Class 2 medical.


Other tests, procedures and referrals are sometimes required by the NAA or indicated during the medical examination. The fees for these are listed on the UK Pricing tab.

Our charges for the standard Class 1 medical examination will not exceed the British Airways limits for expenses reimbursement. We provide invoices which breakdown the examination charge in a manner consistent with the British Airways expenses protocol. If booking on-line please add a note that you are a British Airways pilot on the “Details” page of the booking form (step 4) and select the default “pay on invoice option”, or bring it to our attention during a telephone booking.

We offer a full range of payment options:

  • Bookings made using our online booking system can be paid for immediately by PayPal
  • When booking online you can also select the option to pay by invoice. After booking, you will receive an email invoice which will include a payment button that can be settled using PayPal or most major credit/debit cards. You do not require a PayPal account to pay invoices online.
  • If you prefer, the invoice can be also settled on the day by cash, card or bank transfer.

We offer appointments 3-5 days a week, including Saturdays at The Aeromedical Centre, Corris, Rock Road, West Sussex RH20 3BQ. Appointments can be made using our online booking system.
